Christmas 2010 at the Harleys

Well, we had Christmas in Knoxville this year and it was great having family come to visit us and have Christmas under our own tree. Both our families were able to make the trip up to visit us at different times over the Christmas break. The McClellans came up and spent a week in Knoxville shopping. They brought their Wii with them so we played and danced all week. :) Grant is really good!! Christmas came quickly and they moved on to West Virginia with my Paw Paw to see more family. Then the Harleys drove in the next morning, bright and early. :) We have had a great visit, we had Christmas with them on the 26th, then shopped and went to the Applewood for lunch one day. The most memorable part of their visit is one of the Christmas gifts was a Wii and Grant and I have enjoyed watching them play. What a hoot!! Thank You... Thank You... Mom and Dad Harley for an amazing Christmas present!

End of the Semester!!!

The semester is almost over. I have one final exam left and Grant is completely finished as of Thursday with the Spring semester. It was a rough one for me, I had not taken three classes and worked full time in a while, I had to learn to balance all over again. Grant is also staying very busy working on several articles to publish in different areas of Geography (some tree ring and some caving). We are very excited about attending Jana's (Grant's cousin) wedding soon! We are so happy for her and Adam and feel blessed to be apart of the joyful event. Plus we will get to see Grant's family that we haven't seen since Christmas.

Not much to say... but I glad the semester is over!! Thank you Lord for giving us the strength to get through another one.

2010... Our First Blog

Well... 2010 here we are!

It is going to be a very busy year in the Harley household! I am taking three classes this semester... OMG. I know I will need your prayers! Grant is really busy with school, he is doing his field work in the Florida Keys (lucky). He has been down there a few times getting samples. He seems really excited about studying Tree Rings. I am happy for the change, I wasn't a huge fan of him crawling underground.

It is very cold here in Knoxville! Lola our newest addition loves it outside, Roxie not so much. Luckily for her she was given a few sweaters for Christmas. (Thanks Mom and Lou) We had a little snow, but nothing that stuck to the ground.

Work is going well, we are in our slow season right now. Not much is going on, but it will start up very soon. I am excited to be working with the Homecoming program this year. I can't wait to see what the upcoming plans will be.

The Lord has blessed us tremendously! We have found a wonderful church (Thanks Haylee)! Grace Baptist has both amazing worship and wonderful preaching. I thank the Lord everyday for the many blessing he has giving us. He is an amazing God!

I am very excited to have Leslie and Jason only a few hours away now instead of in Florida. Now I need Ann and it will be complete with my Besties up here! We have such a great time together... especially at Disney :) I don't know what I would do without the two of them.

Well this is it for my first blog... it was kind of fun!
